200809 Lesson Schedule
Music Makers teaches lessons and classes Monday
through Saturday, throughout the entire year.
Students may register for private lessons at any time
during the year. Group class registration procedures
will be advertised via mailings and the website.
Please refer to the Calendar on the Home Page for additional dates and events.
Billing / Tuition Payments
Families will receive a monthly statement that covers
lessons provided for that month as well as books,
contest fees, etc. Payment may be made by check and
sent to our P. O. Box or dropped off at our office.
Tuition is prepaid and due on the first of the
month.
Late Payments and Unpaid Accounts
Payments are due on the first of the month.
Accounts that are not paid in full by the 5th of the
month will be charged a $10.00 late fee. Students
whose accounts are not paid in full by their second
lesson of the month will be taken off the
schedule. Reassignment will be made only after
the account is paid in full, and cannot be guaranteed
enrollment with same instructor, lesson day or time.
Termination of Lessons
Music Makers requires 2 weeks notice in writing for
termination of lessons. Students are charged for
their last two weeks of lessons, even if they choose
to forfeit them.
Missed Lessons and Make-Up Lessons
Private Lessons
-
Students are allowed one excused absence during
each of the Fall, Spring and Summer sessions at
the discretion of the instructor. Make-ups will
be considered for the one excused absence only if
there is 24-hour advance notice.
-
Make-up dates and times will be determined and
scheduled through individual instructors.
-
If a make-up lesson is granted, the student has
the option to attend or forfeit the lesson.
Unattended make-up lessons will not be rescheduled
or credited.
-
There will be no credits given for any
student-missed lessons.
Semi-Private and Group Lessons
-
Students absent from a class are not granted
make-up lessons or credits. Students missing
these lessons may call the office to find out what
music was assigned during the missed lesson.
Instructor Absences / Rescheduling
If an Instructor misses or cancels a lesson, he/she
has the option to (a) schedule a substitute instructor
to teach that day's lessons, or (b) schedule a make-up
lesson. If a student is unable to attend a make-up
lesson under these circumstances, a credit will be
applied to the student's account at the end of the
semester. Credits will not be given for regularly
scheduled lessons taught by a substitute instructor.
Music / Books for Lessons
Students are required to purchase music for use in
lessons. Students must remember to bring their music
to lessons, as we are unable to lend music. All
music/books will be charged to your account on the day
it is received.
Special Events
Music Makers provides students several opportunities
throughout the year to participate in performances and
competitions. These events are not mandatory, but are
strongly encouraged! All of our enrolled families
will be notified of events via our 200809
calendar and inserts in monthly statements.
Practice, Practice, Practice...
To build skills learned in each lesson, it is vital
that students maintain a frequent and consistent
practice schedule. We have found that the
establishment of a daily routine, with practice at
about the same time every day, is the most effective
way of including this important activity in students'
busy lives.
