Health and Safety Guidelines for Our Families

Music Makers requires that ill students do not attend in-person lessons. Symptoms of illness include sore throat, cough, low-grade fever, body aches. Music Makers teachers hold the right to deny in-person lessons should a student attend their lesson with visible symptoms.

In the case of illness, please email or text our office to schedule a Zoom lesson for that week.

In regard to COVID, Music Makers follows the CDC guidelines for quarantine and isolation. The most recent CDC guidelines can be found here:

Masks at Music Makers

As of 8/1/2022, masks are not required in common spaces at Music Makers of Western Springs. Individual teachers have the right to require their students to wear a mask during lessons. Should this be the case, families will be notified of this information by the teacher, and/or upon registration.

Music Makers has installed Air Scrubber Plus technology on our HVAC systems--the only air cleaning technology awarded the Certified Space Technology seal of approval by the Space Foundation (in cooperation with NASA) to eliminate germ particles and emit clean air.

Music Makers of Western Springs has taken enhanced health and safety measures for you, our families, our teachers and our staff.  You must follow all posted instructions while visiting our schools.  An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present.  COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death.  According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and people with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.  By visiting our school, all staff, teachers, students and families voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
